Ability WA is a leading provider of autism services in Perth and WA to support neurodivergent individuals and their families. Neurodivergent refers to conditions often known as Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other non-neurotypical conditions. Our experienced therapy professionals work together to provide individualised care for every adult, young adult, teenager, and child’s neurodiversity-affirming goals. All activities are person-led and interest-based. Our autism therapy and support services include:

  • speech pathology
  • occupational therapy
  • social work
  • positive behaviour support
  • physiotherapy
  • dietetics
  • accredited exercise physiologists
  • therapy assistants

Our speech pathologists use evidence-based approaches to autism therapy. They focus on supporting adults, young adults, teenagers, and children through activities that build upon their strengths, unique talents and skills to achieve their goals.

Our psychologists address the mental health and well-being of neurodivergent customers and their families. Together with our social workers, they are experienced in working with autistic adults, young adults, teenagers, and children. The team provide interventions to address common anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges through their support.

Our autism therapy also includes positive behaviour support (PBS) services to assist customers and caregivers with managing challenging behaviours (behaviours of concern) that may impact their daily lives. Our PBS professionals work closely with customers, families and caregivers to understand customer care needs. These professionals also develop individualised solutions to support behaviour improvement and better quality of life.

From physiotherapy to occupational therapy for autism, Ability WA is committed to providing high-quality autism support services to customers and their families across Perth. We aim to assist adults, young adults, teenagers, and children so they can strive to achieve their goals, whether they be around employment or supported independent living.
