As you will be aware from our previous communications, the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) recently completed its Annual Pricing Review.
As a result of the review, the price limits set by the NDIA increased from 1 July 2022 to address additional cost pressures on disability service providers. As a registered NDIS service provider, Ability WA will align its prices with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements.
This increase was applied to a variety of support services and specifically Supported Independent Living and Assistance with Social, Economic and Community Participation, including supported employment.
What does this mean for Ability WA Customers?
On 11 July, The NDIA applied this increase to the remaining balance (for any period after 1 July) to NDIS recipients’ budgets to account for the price increase resulting in no financial impact for you.
This increase should appear in your remaining balances available on your My Place Portal.
Why is this important?
Ability WA will apply the appropriate increase to any services delivered after 1 July 2022 to the nominated supports and will adjust through increasing service bookings in line with stipulated increases.
To confirm, this increase will only be applied to any remaining balances from 1 July 2022 until your plan end date. Any new plans effective from 1 July will have the price increase already applied, and nothing will change.
If you would like more information about the increase, you can read the 2022 NDIS Pricing Arrangements Update announcement here.
Additionally, you will find a complete list of NDIS Pricing Arrangements here.
We will commence service booking updates from the week commencing 10 October 2022, reflecting changes from 1 July 2022. If you have any questions concerning the above, please reach out before this date to discuss. I can be contacted on 1300 106 106 or by email info@abilitywa.com.au.
