Unable to attend the award ceremony in December, Janette Burns received her 2017 Chief Executive Officer’s Award this morning from Suzi Cowcher at a special morning tea.
With over 10 years’ experience at Ability Centre in a range of different roles, Janette is a fundamental part of the North Hub team. She currently works as a Community Inclusion Worker, supporting speech therapists, physiotherapists and occupational therapists with customers’ complex and varied needs.
As a highly valued member of Therapy and Health, Janette is extremely dedicated to supporting the outcomes of children with disabilities and their families. According to Suzi Cowcher, “one of the challenges for the Selection Committee, was choosing which award to select Janette for as her colleagues had nominated and championed for her to win a range of different awards.
“Janette is highly accommodating, always optimistic, proactive with a level of productivity that is near impossible to achieve. The flexibility Janette has shown in aligning with the new ways of working with NDIS is a key part of her success in the workplace.
“Not only does Janette have a great professional attitude, her charismatic personality shines through with staff and customers.”
Congratulations Janette, we’re lucky to have you!
