In 2022, the Hon Bill Shorten MP announced a review of the National Disability Insurance Scheme or NDIS. The review findings were delivered in the recently released report, “Working together to deliver the NDIS”.  

Ability WA welcomes the recommendations contained in the report and supports reform of the NDIS for the best interests of people living with disability. The NDIS review recommendations lay the pathway to implement much needed and urgent change in the disability sector and will ensure the sustainability and longevity of the National Disability Insurance Scheme.  

Ability WA will work closely with federal and state governments, and local authorities to ensure people with disability are central to the purpose of the NDIS. and looks forwarding to working with the reports’ recommended independent pricing body to comply with any potential regulations and requirements.  

By welcoming the NDIS report, and supporting the recommendations contained within, Ability WA will continue to provide customers with support to thrive in the community throughout their lives.
