Ability WA’s Board of Directors has accepted a request by Lifeplan to merge, taking effect operationally on 17 April 2023.

Lifeplan is a disability support service that offers community participation and daily living supports to people living with disability in the Perth metro region. Lifeplan is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 1999 with approximately 80 staff members.  

Over several months, Ability WA has provided Lifeplan with administrative advice and support as it manages challenges within the ever-changing operating environment of the disability sector.  

Late last year, the Board of Lifeplan approached Ability WA with a view to a merger with Ability WA to provide Lifeplan's staff and customers with a sustainable long-term future.  

Ability WA's Board of Directors agreed to the merger and will begin managing Lifeplan staff, services and assets from Monday, 17 April 2023.  

Our organisations come together at an exciting time as we redesign our Social and Community Participation Program, focusing on supporting customers in activities that help them achieve their goals and aspirations.

We look forward to welcoming Lifeplan’s customers and staff members to Ability WA and providing them with the quality of service and experience we are proud of.  

This is an exciting time for Ability WA as we continue to grow and improve our services to West Australians living with disability.
