Inklings is a brand-new program developed by Telethon Kids Institute to support families of children aged between six and 18 months who are showing early differences in their communication skills. Ability WA is excited to be a chosen partner to deliver this program in Western Australia.
“I’m thrilled to announce Ability WA has been chosen to deliver Telethon Kids Institute’s new Inklings program. As leaders in early childhood intervention, we know Inklings will support the on-going development of babies with delays in their social and communication skills and empower caregivers to realise their abilities as responsive communication partners.” Jacquie Thomson, Chief Executive Officer at Ability WA
This program is delivered by our specially trained therapy team who provide strategies and knowledge to empower parents and caregivers to best support their baby’s communication needs.
The Inklings Program was developed from decades of research from Australia and the United Kingdom and is funded in Western Australia through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) as part of a new partnership between the NDIS, Telethon Kids Institute, Child and Adolescent Health Service and WA Country Health Service.
