The new Early Mealtime Service supports families with practical strategies they can use to gain confidence around mealtimes and create positive experiences for the whole family!
Our service is delivered by a multidisciplinary team of speech pathologists, occupational therapists, dietitians and social workers for comprehensive support across mealtimes.
This specialised service can support children experiencing mealtime challenges such as:
- Signs of distress, such as coughing or difficulty swallowing.
- Extreme sensitivities to tastes, smells or textures.
- Significant changes in food intake.
We use a family-centred approach to support families in identifying their child’s individual goals and unique mealtime needs.
This is a free service for families of children up to five years old, with or without a diagnosis, thanks to the support of Telethon.
