Aligning Bradford Views with National NDIS Standards

Ability WA is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all customers and staff, and strongly supports appropriate regulation across the disability sector. Bradford Views in Coolbinia is a residential complex for 20 customers and currently operates under NDIS registration. Historically, Bradford Views has also held a WA Department of Health Licencing and Regulatory Unit (LARU) nursing home licence.

Following discussions with the WA Department of Health, both parties agreed that service quality at Bradford Views is more appropriately measured against the nationally consistent NDIS Practice Standards overseen by the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission. This framework provides clearer and more contemporary expectations for disability service delivery.

To streamline regulation and remove duplication, Bradford Views will cease operating as a LARU-licensed health facility from December 2025 and will continue to be governed by the NDIS Practice Standards.
