Ability WA has two Containers for Change refund points located in Bibra Lake and Midvale, where you can return your containers and receive 10c per eligible container!
Our Containers for Change sites employ people living with disability and provide meaningful employment, training and career progression to support their employment goals.
How to participate
1. Register for a member number with Containers for Change
Registering for a member number allows you to nominate your preferred refund method, track your containers, book a collection and set up direct donations.
2. Choose how you want to recycle with us
Our Containers for Change sites offer three service options to recycle your containers:
Drive-through
Simply bring your containers with you and one of our team will count them and process your refund for you.
We can process your refund as cash, with or without a member number, or via bank transfer, which requires a member number. You can even choose to donate part or all of your refund to us and support people with disabilities to realise their abilities.
Bag drop
Bag your eligible containers, securely attach a tag with your member number and phone number then drop it off at one of our sites in the designated blue bins or to a staff member.
Our team will do the rest and process your refund using your member details and the preferred refund method you have nominated in your account.
Collection
Prepare your containers and book a collection by contacting us or booking through the Containers for Change website or app.
We can collect from businesses or private residences.
Please note a service fee may apply, which will be deducted from the refund amount. Contact us to learn if you are in an eligible suburb for the pick-up service or to learn more.
Refunds will be processed using your member number details and the preferred refund method you have nominated in your account.
