Social & Community Participation Services

Life is better when we're connected to the people, places and pastimes that matter to us

Being part of a community is a big part of life. Our community participation program, named Community Connect, is designed to help you get out there and be a part of your community. We work with you to find your vibe, meet people who share your passions, and experience life - on your terms!

What is community participation and why is it important?

Social and community participation is about helping you to join in activities that promote inclusion, develop your skills, and encourage personal growth. It’s important for building stronger social connections and confidence in different settings, from joining social groups to pursuing your hobbies and interests.

How does Community Connect work?

Suitable for customers aged 18 and over, Community Connect is designed to help you actively participate in the world around you. We work with you to find activities and experiences that match your interests and goals, helping you feel more connected, confident, and engaged within your community.

Community Connect can also be tailored to support community participation for people with complex needs, including PEG, mealtime management support and severe dysphagia, as well as provide accessible transport for people with mobility needs.

Whether you’re keen to grab a coffee, join a music group, hit the lanes for some bowling, or lend a hand in your town, we’re here to support you.
