Ability Centre’s research project team led by Rowan Johnson has been awarded a $170,000 grant from Non-Government Centre Support (NGCS).
Non-Government Centre Support is managed through the WA Education Department and provides funding to non-government organisations that provide support services for children and students with disabilities.
The grant that Ability Centre received will be used in partnership with Curtin University and Reach Health Promotion Innovations to develop new technology to help children engage in therapy in the classroom.
The team has recently completed research into the effectiveness of an exercise prescription app, called Physitrack®, amongst children with disabilities. This was funded by Non-Government Centre Support (NGCS). The results from this will be shared later this year.
