December 2020

Christmas Message from our CEO

It is that time of year when many of us will start to wind down for some much needed rest and relaxation and a chance to spend time with family and friends over the festive season.

In a year that has brought us all unexpected challenges, I have also seen warmth, care and commitment demonstrated at every turn. I would like to sincerely thank you for your support and pass on our warmest wishes to you and your loved ones.

I have been inspired and appreciative of the willingness of our customers to adapt to the difficulties presented by COVID-19 this year. I hope we are through the worst of this pandemic and believe we have been blessed in WA to have avoided the more extreme measures required in other parts of Australia and overseas.

The health and wellbeing of our customers, their families and our employees will continue as a high priority as we move into 2021. We will be vigilant with our infection control measures and closely monitoring any health advice from government. Thank you for your willingness to abide by the measures we had to introduce this year – it has made a real difference to our team.

We will remember 2020 as a landmark year for Ability Centre. It has shown us the true value of community and demonstrated the emotional connections this brings. In all the uncertainty we have found ways to work with our customers to achieve their goals, our donors and supporters have stayed with us and we have continued our planning to offer more contemporary services and supports.

Thank you for trusting us as your service provider this year. We are looking forward to continuing to serve you in 2021.

Wishing you a merry Christmas and a safe, relaxing holiday season.

Warm regards,

Jacquie Thomson
